Outbound was originally developed in 1990 as a
proprietary CATI system for use in our own call center. By the end of
1999, the various DOS versions of our system had been used to conduct
well over 100,000 telephone surveys.
In early 2000 we began to outsource all of our data collection. Although
we no longer had our own call center, the interviewing program within
Outbound remained in use as most of our suppliers began to use it to
collect data for our projects. After many
discussions with these suppliers it became apparent that there was a
need in the industry for a powerful, easy-to-use, well supported, yet
affordable, CATI package for use in a Windows environment.
As we began the process of
commercializing our system we realized we needed to collaborate with a
leader in the telephone data collection industry. We
partnered with Information Alliance in January, 2002 in an effort to
design a complete, affordable solution for telephone data collection in
a Windows environment. The result of this collaboration is Outbound For Windows.
Outbound CS is the newest release of the
Outbound CATI system. Outbound CS is a central server system for
Windows specifically designed for companies with multiple phone centers.
